Though he was heavily recruited by Division I programs, Martinez will start his collegiate career at Golden West of Los Angeles, one of the top junior college programs in the nation.

Quinn Martinez is a standout athlete at Manteca High School, known for his skills in both football and track.

As a senior, he plays wide receiver and cornerback for the football team. His speed and athleticism earned him 40 Division I scholarship offers and a three-star rating.

This season, he caught 12 touchdown passes, helping his team go undefeated with a 10-0 record in the regular season. The team also won the Valley Oak League, finishing 6-0.

Martinez deflected praise and credited his faith in his individual and team success.

“They ask me how I do it,” Martinez said in a text message with The Tower, “I tell them ‘God is real.’”

Off the football field, Martinez is just as impressive in track. He is one of the top sprinters on the track team, with his best time in the 100-meter dash being 10.95 seconds. He also competes in the 200 meters, running a solid 22.74 seconds. Additionally, Quinn is a strong part of the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams, where he helps his teammates achieve strong finishes.

For Martinez, track is more than just a separate sport, it’s a way to improve his speed and conditioning for football. His fast times in the 100 and 200 meters give him an edge when running routes and covering receivers in football. His performance in both sports shows his commitment to being the best athlete he can be.

“I know track isn’t his main thing but for how good he is with it kind of being just an accessory sport for him is really impressive”

As a senior, Martinez is ready for the next step in his athletic career.

His achievements in both football and track have put him on the radar of college recruiters, and his future looks bright.

Martinez’s dedication to improving in every way, whether on the football field or the track, is what sets him apart and makes him a top prospect for the future.

Martinez is attending Golden West, which is one of the best JUCO colleges for football in the whole country. His coaches also see a bright future ahead of him.

“I was raised to ball,” Martinez said. “Through any situation I was told to stand tall. Never fold.”
