MANTECA—The ground game has always been the identity of Manteca Buffaloes football, and junior running back Nikko Juarez is the latest, and perhaps greatest, heir to that powerful tradition. A dynamic three-star prospect, Juarez is not just filling the shoes of Manteca greats; he’s exploding out of them, turning in jaw-dropping performances that have made the Buffaloes a top contender in the Sac-Joaquin Section this season. 

The 5-foot-10, 189-pound back has been a varsity staple since his freshman year, blending elite vision with punishing power. Juarez’s blend of speed and physicality was on full display in his recent “get-back game” against rival Central Catholic, where he rumbled for a career-high 293 yards and three touchdowns, completely erasing the memory of a shoulder injury that had cut short his previous game against them. His current tear through the Valley Oak League has positioned Manteca as a dominant force and cemented Juarez as one of Northern California's most exciting players. 

Nikko Juarez said “It was my get-back game. All week in practice, I was going hard and making sure I was doing everything correctly. I was motivated for this game.” 

Nikko Juarez is a dynamic three-star running back in the Class of 2027 who plays for Manteca High School in California. He is a high-level recruit with offers from major programs, including Cal Berkeley and Washington State. As a powerful runner, he put up over 1,500 rushing yards as a sophomore and recently had a 293-yard performance against rival Central Catholic. Juarez embodies the Buffaloes' smash-mouth football tradition and is projected to be one of the top backs in the state.

He is continuing his family's football tradition, as his father was on Manteca's first section championship team. Despite his football success, Juarez is a versatile athlete who also plays volleyball for the school.
