Oh, come on!
This is truly the catchphrase of pure disappointment. Almost everyone you ask says this when asked for their reaction to something that has just gone south.
Yes, everyone has problems throughout the day, but what problems lie within Manteca High? What leaves The Herd with hassles and headaches?
Students have complained about blockades that exist throughout campus, whether it's the carts sharing the same path as the students, traffic in the 100 wing, or the congestion in the student parking lot before and after school. Another main issue being total disrespect. Racist remarks, condescending teachers, and bullying are all things the school does not support.
“Be appreciative about the things you have,” stated Dylan Woods when asked for advice.
The Tower conducted an informal poll of Manteca High students and found that many struggle with the general lack of kindness and certain inefficiencies in school.
The Tower: What bothers you most here at MHS?
Vanessa Vaca: Probably the traffic in the 100 wing; it’s made me late so many times.
Dylan Woods: Just no organization in places.
TT: What is the biggest problem the school has?
VV: Just the overall disrespect people have for one another.
DW: That the lunch isn’t long enough, like an hour is too long, but what we have is too short.
TT: If you could change one thing about the school, what would it be
VV: I would change the 100 wing, because yeah…
DW: The 100 wing needs more hallways.
TT: Have you reached out to the school about this?
VV: Yes, it didn’t help though.
DW: No, I haven’t.
